Hi Guys,
I have been training with Sensei Alan for about 5 years now, and must say I enjoy every moment of it. I like the way Sensei Alan mixes the different aspects of Karate to make every case very interesting.
Sensei Alan caters to all abilities of physical fitness and you dont have to worry about being too old or too unfit to do karate, you will enjoy the class.

Thanks for everything
keep up the great work !

I have been training with Sensei Alan for 5 years and graded to Black Belt (1st Dan) under the EGKA in June 2012. I enjoy all aspects of the training including Kata, Bag Work, Self Defence, and Ground Work (throws and locks).

Come along and join in - you won't regret it!

At HSGK we are very lucky to have an excellent Sensei in Alan Woodhouse. He is extremely dedicated and constantly teaches and trains all his students to a high level. We have a great mix of experience within our dojo with a brilliant training atmosphere. Sensei Alan adapts the training to all levels from begginner to advanced combat. Everyone is welcomed and the social side is good fun too!

You're never to old to start Karate. I started when I was 45 and with the superb training from Sensei Alan (and alot of my sweat) black belt is around the corner. Karate is a great discipline and good way of getting fit and building self confidance. (Is there a spell checker on this guess book?)

I have been training with Sensei Alan for nearly 5 years and really look forward to Mondays and Wednesdays. I also had the opportunity to travel to Japan with our Dojo for a world training event this year which was an amazing experience. There is a huge mix of training in Karate to keep everyone's interest up and a range of ability and fitness so no-one feels left out. It is a friendly club for women to join and techniques taught in class will make you safer out on the street.

I have been training with Sensei Alan for just under a year and love every minute in the dojo; I just wish I had started training years ago! As a beginner I can say that Sensei Alan is a great instructor; he never leaves you behind but pushes you to learn far beyond your grade.

As a police officer it compliments my job perfectly, with an ideal balance of street style self defence and dojo combat. Goju-Ryu Karate has helped keep me fit and agile and helped to build my confidence in all aspects of my life.

Training is fun and the social side of training is just as good!

I started training late last year having introduced my kids to Karate a couple of weeks previously. Learning Karate was something I wished I had done years ago and never thought I was get the chance to do. Sensei Alan's classes are so incredibly varied and I've learned a lot in a few short months. My eldest son has just taken his first grading and is enjoying it as much as I am.
